Wie Distanzen, Indikatoren und Bewertungen berechnet werden

Distanzen Berechnet über die Haversine-Formel als Großkreisdistanz zwischen dem gewählten Standort und der typischen Anbauregion. Mehrere Regionen werden nach ihrem jeweiligen Marktanteil gewichtet gemittelt.

Indikatoren Wasser, CO2, Ressourcen und Soziales werden als qualitative Vier-Stufen-Einschätzungen (niedrig, mittel, hoch, sehr hoch) auf Basis öffentlich diskutierter Bandbreiten erfasst.

Ampel-Score Ein Kompositwert aus Distanz und den vier Indikatoren. Der Worst-Case-Wert fließt zu 55 Prozent ein, der Durchschnitt zu 45 Prozent. Das Ergebnis ergibt die Bewertung Grün, Gelb, Orange oder Rot.

Standortdaten Koordinaten werden ausschließlich lokal im Browser verarbeitet und nicht an Server übertragen.

Methodology
How distances, indicators and ratings are calculated

Distances Calculated with the haversine formula as great-circle distances between the selected location and the typical growing region. Multiple regions are weighted by their respective market share.

Indicators Water, CO2, resources and social factors are captured as qualitative four-level estimates (low, medium, high, very high) based on publicly discussed value ranges.

Traffic-light score A composite value from distance and the four indicators. The worst-case value accounts for 55 percent, the average for 45 percent. The result yields a rating of green, yellow, orange or red.

Location data Coordinates are processed locally in the browser only and never sent to a server.
